Our Team – Carmen
Specialises in: Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Carmen is a joyful soul who finds quiet on the mat. She loves exploring the world around her and far away and through yoga, the world within. Instilled with a deep desire to help people lead happier and healthier lives she values any opportunity she receives to share her love for yoga. Her vinyasa flow yoga classes are nurturing awareness, sensitivity, enquiry, and joy of movement.
She discovered yoga over 8 years ago when stress was overwhelming her and found a lifeline so different there was no way back. The practice became the daily joy and helped her grow stronger, more flexible, more aware, sensitive and curious both on and off the mat. The unique sense of peace and calmness she found in yoga developed into a life pursuit for a deeper knowing and enhanced wellbeing.
Carmen practiced various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Kundalini, Jivamukti, Dynamic, Tantra, Duru yoga and one that she resonated most with Flow Vinyasa yoga. She rejoices in gratitude for her teachers at Grace and Presence who inspired and guided her 200 hours Vinyasa Flow Yoga training in an incredibly mindful, embodied manner.
Enthused to share her discoveries Carmen brings the alive body into her own flow classes where she guides with awareness a play between the ancient body maps of asana and multidimensional movement. Inspired by the richness of nature with all its nuances and beings her classes bring a sense of wholeness, nourishment, and joy of being alive. Adults and children alike enjoy the fertile experience of moving and breathing connected.
Her vision is to help create self-awareness and highlight transformation abilities, ground new age movement of changing education focus to the energetic person and the interactions with the world around us. Her current studies are spreading across conscious parenting, non-violent communication, intuition, the power of great habits, kundalini and tantra as well as fine-tuning simple games and classes into self-worth building strategies.
Carmen loves people and being in nature and you will often find her playing about with kids, strolling the River Lee marshes paths in Cheshunt and London, cycling, skating, hiking or just being in the woods of her new favourite camping site.
Why yoga? My yoga is the most honest expression of myself. The teaching happens through me, just being with what is, accepting where I am and sharing from my heart.
